Welcome to Bailies Irish Bar and Restaurant

Bailies Irish Bar and Restaurant was a part of the Cathedral Square precinct for nearly 30 years. For those of us at work on February 22nd 2011,  memories now etched into our minds forever, extreme sadness interwoven with recollections of the memorable occasions and happy times at Bailies.

The, literally hundreds, of staff who passed through Bailies over almost 30 years contributed to what made Bailies so famous.  The thousands and thousand of customers who did make us so famous. To mention only the luminary would be a disservice to our ‘loyal locals’ who were never fazed by who they could be rubbing shoulders with. That was the character of Bailies, you never knew who you might meet there.   

Unfortunately we are temporarily closed because of the devastating earthquake that struck Christchurch on 22 February.
