Bailies continues a tradition of hospitality dating back to 1863. In the Warners Hotel building we are part of a unique hospitality experience stretching over 140 years. Bailies caters for all tastes where everyone is welcome and they can be assured of great ale, good food and lively conversation.

Christchurch the gateway to Antarctica, Bailies & Warners have welcomed and hosted explorers Scott and Shackleton and today’s modern adventurers working on the Ice. Bailies has many friends, current and past personnel and gained recognition,  being featured in the movie “Eight Below”. Our walls are a testament to the relationship we have built up over the years, covered in a vast selection of photos and memorabilia.

Bailies is an oasis in Cathedral Square – a great place to meet your friends. With three gas fires it is always warm in the winter and with wonderful outside dining options. Bailies is awesome in the summer as you soak up the afternoon and evening sun lounging in the comfortable outdoor setting. Come and join the friendly staff and relax and unwind with your friends.
