If you want to feel the real pulse of the Kiwi rugby community, head to Bailies Irish Bar and Restaurant in the heart of Christchurch city. We call rugby the beautiful game and are proud the All Blacks drink here.

Base yourself at Bailies and you will be a stranger here but once. Banter with the locals, they’ll all have an opinion of who is going to win.

Back in 2005 during the British Irish Lions tour, Bailies was packed with supporters from all corners of the Isles and like minded Kiwis.  The Grizz bar hummed, the garden bar went off, Bailies was madness. The atmosphere was brilliant, everybody supporting different teams but joining together for the good of the game.

It is a huge shame Christchurch won’t be hosting any Rugby World Cup games because of the February earthquake but we will celebrate certain All Black victory anyway!
